Cycle count is one of the tiring activities on the production floor. If the process of transferring the inventory count to the ERP is made difficult, it adds up to the existing load of work. The inventory team has been doing this every day with an old scanning device running on Windows CE. Firstly the scanning was so difficult and then transferring it is another heap of a task. In this project, I replaced both the scanner device and the software used to transfer the scanned data to the ERP with a wireless platform that in real-time transfers the scanned data to the CSV. As a result, the team has saved time and cost in the inventory count.
